Gold Medal for Graham Lake

'At St Anselm's Church, Tooting Bec, London on Friday 22 September 2006 at the Parish 6.15pm Mass, Mr Graham Lake was presented with the Gold Medal of the Archconfraternity of St Stephen for 50 years as a member of the Archconfraternity and as an altar server. The medal was presented to Graham together with an Apostolic Blessing from Pope Benedict XVI by Dr William Hebborn, Parish Priest.

Graham was born and lived in Newcastle upon Tyne until 1970 when he moved to London for his health professional studies. He was enrolled into the Guild in 1956, at St Mary's Cathedral, Newcastle upon Tyne.

Over the fifty years Graham has given so much dedicated service to the parish's where he has lived both in the USA, Holland and the UK in many different capacities.

Also present at the celebration Mass were Fr Dennis Touw - National Chaplain of the Guild, Fr Keith Stoakes - Westminster Diocesan Chaplain, Fr Gregory Moore - Emeritus Southwark Diocesan Chaplain, Fr Gary Gill - Parish Chaplain of the Guild, Fr David Standley, Fr Michael Britto, Fr Chris Connor, Deacon Michael Kennedy, Mr Michael Chute - President of the Guild, Mr Tony Hawes - Emeritus President of the Guild and Mr Michael O'Leary - Secretary of the Guild.'
